Agency work for interpreters... Is it really freelance?

Independent contractor, freelancer, casual employee, part time, full time...these are just a few of the job status titles that interpreters use. What's the difference? How does the status of independent contractor differ from employee status? What rights do each status give the interpreters? Join us on February 23rd to answer these questions.

Presenter: Cat Salonek

Cat Salonek is a union organizer with the Communication Workers of America who works with spoken and sign language interpreters across medical, legal, and community sectors. With ten years of organizing experience she has had to confront the opportunities and challenges of various labor rules.
